Dress Up Party at the Weidners House!

Cort and baby Grey had a super fun Dress Up playdate at their house the other morning! Stella went in her tutu but changed into a super hero costume with Cort's Super Cort cape as soon as we got there....she is one silly girl! Cort was Spiderman at first and then he was Buzz Lightyear!! Baby Grey was a Fire Fighter...and Katleyn was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader! Little Anna would not put on her Princess costume the whole time but as soon as she got home her mom said she wanted to put it on and sleep in it!! What a great idea Ashlee...thanks for hosting!!

Singing Girl!!

Stella will never sing on camera for me....but the other day she was feeling pretty crazy so I thought maybe I could grab her doing it!! I got some really cute video of her singing....here you go!!

Carriage Ride

They had these super fun little carriages (or a surrey with the fringe on top) that you could rent and ride around downtown Red River that my dad thought it would be fun to take Stella on. It was a great idea but it was super hard to pull these things up hill! I was working pretty hard to get this thing moving!! But Stella loved it! She had a little basket seat in the front and kept screaming "Faster! Faster!" It was super super fun.....more fun ideas that Papa has to entertain Stella!

Stella's Stairs!

The next door neighbors also had this great set of stairs made out of old rail road ties in their front yard....so we had another little impromptu photo session there after we got back from swinging. Stella loved going up and down the stairs over and over again. She would pick up little stones and throw them and jump and play. She had a blast...the 60 degree temperatures did not hurt too much either!

Swinging

Every day we had to take Stella swinging...it is as usual her favorite thing to do! We actually found a couple different swing sets around Red River (surprising since they only have like four restaurants!) and she ended up loving the one at the local elementary school the most! It was super cute....many of the days it would rain in the afternoon after naps and Stella learned her new favorite song "Rain Rain Go Away Come Again Another Day...Little Stella Wants To Swing So Rain Rain Go Away!" she sings it all of the time even here in Dallas (where it does not so much rain...but the clouds do sometimes sweat because it is soooooo hot!!)

Flower Photo Shoot

Every year when we go to Red River I try to have a little mini photo shoot with Stella and the latest Mexican dress that Mimi and Papa brought back from their yearly trip to Mexico. This year I figured out that the next door neighbors had a perfect place to shoot some pictures....much easier than driving all over the place like last year....the dress was a little big...but we still got some really cute shots!!

Riding a REAL pony!!!

I really did not think this was going to happen but they actually let Stella ride a real horse when we were in Red River!! She had to share a saddle with Papa which was perfectly fine with me!! The shortest ride was an hour and I thought there was no way that she would last that long! I thought she would get bored or scared or something! But she LOVED IT!! After she took off my mom and I drove down the street to catch them and she kept saying "Bye Bye Mommy" and she wanted me to leave her alone and let her ride!! She came back and could not stop talking about it!! Her horses name was Brutus but she called him Bouncy (because when the rode down hill he was bouncing so much) and Bullseye (like the horse on Toy Story). I cannot wait to take her back next year to do it again! Papa wore a helmet just like Stella so she did not feel silly...he is the best Papa ever!! Maybe next year I will actually bring jeans and maybe I will ride too...well maybe:)
